When i first saw Dawn
i was both gleeful and afraid
that day, everything changed.
Dawn brings lovers together
and though i was afraid of what we might be asked to do
in my heart
in my soul
i still knew.
And over the coming days
there were occasions when
for the first time in my life
i suddenly knew the way.
Before Dawn
i was seeking
searching
reading
asking
listening
hoping
wishing
infrequently praying
dreaming.
Its no wonder that i got to see Dawn
to remind me of who i really am
and who i could be.
From that day on
i was no longer reading in the dark
for sun
began to rise
in my heart!
I don’t dream so deep, anymore
For who needs to dream
When you no longer want to sleep.
Now i just look into my heart
and see my own dawn breaking.
it’s yet without a name.
But it will never forget
Never!
From where it took it’s flame.
