Peace or Non-violence?
This seems to be a grey area on Intent! Deepak has asked us to take a vow of non-violence. I took that vow understanding what it meant in my perception. There were people who felt the wording was erroneous and it should be a vow of Peace and not non-violence because of the focus of non-violence is a negative one. The focus of Peace being a positive one. As Mother Teresa would only attend a pro-peace rally and not an Anti-war rally, I do see the meaning and understand the debate. Deepak explained his wording and that it comes from the word Ahimasa( I hope that is spelled correctly) I am satisfied with that explanation.
I am dismayed that we are now fighting amongst ourselves. Oh the drama! Some want peace and some want non-violence…essentially the SAME THING! But we debate and start a rift between the very people trying to bring about change. PEOPLE, we are now debating WORDS! This is insanity. Humanity is truly insane and out of control. It is disheartening to realize that 2 entities who both want the same thing cannot even agree on a WORD. How can we bring out a better world when as a human consciousness we fight even over words?
Oh God , please help us. We are truly out of sync with the whole. Please give us guidance through our ‘egos’. I truly hope this childish battle of who is right and who is wrong can be put to rest and not negatively affecting the purpose of what we are trying to accomplish here. Can we please put aside the INTELLECTUAL bull^%$ for a while so we may save ourselves from insanity and certain destruction of this world? I beg of you, please!
Peace

I am of the feeling that some of us over the ages do learn to simply suspend judgement and make sure that the spirit of play is the rule of order in our immediate vicinity. If I want to I may show those bullies or victims in town this poster I made. Let that silence all. We'll continue playing our music and enjoy, hoping more others can join in. It is a matter of time, or lifetimes or never, maybe? The universe continues to play its merry tune regardless. The planets do their gyrations and can only witness. Here is the poster: http://wildbank.com/img/tuning-fork.jpg
Some people gain a certain relief in comiserating or finger pointing. I'll just continue to let my art do its distracting power. It can only remind others of the natural state of being: human and divine, neither.
"Some want peace and some want non-violence…essentially the SAME THING"
I remember writing to krissy …. it was something like this…
"Violence is the Dirt………Cleansing Process is Non-Violence…..Outcome is Peace"
The way I approach the process of cleansing is: "Being aware of where I go violent in my thoughts, speech or action"
Mere awareness stops the continuation and result is Mind free from Violence……..call it Peace..
lol…words can get as tricky as human mind ……. but truly it's about realization in the heart that doesn't really need words at all……
"Oh God , please help us"
I am only living by the law of attraction. What we think about, we bring about. What we put our attention to GROWS. Words give off certain vibrations and the word violence even with the word NON preceding it conjures up images of violence, and gives off negativity. Say PEACE and then say violent. You get two totally different feelings with both. I AM SOOOO PASSIONATE about this vow and the intention of it that I just want to make sure that the synergy we create is that of peace. If 100 million + people are taking the vow of non-V (I just don't even want to type it) and they think of something violent while doing so, then that is creating exactly what we do not want because the universe will respond by giving us more of what we just focussed on…violence. The universe only needs to know what we do want as opposed to what we don't. It will respond either way, not make sure it responds to what we intend…which is PEACE!! I am only arguing this point because I teach the law of attraction and words are soooo important in our creative process. My intention is peace on earth and I am passionate about this. I mean no dissention, and am only trying to make sure this is what we receive.
What is your intention Stu? LOL!! Beautiful intentions create beautiful results. We are not insane, nor are we fighting. Just making sure we are all one in our creation and the desired outcome.
Namaste,
Krissy
Krissy,
There is only power in words if you allow them to have power. Get past the intellectual aspect of this and 'feel' it. We cannot transmit peace if we do not have peace within our own consciousness. Why must you be PASSIONATE only when someone has a different view from yourself. I only ask you to allow others to live and breath and seek as they see fit. Being argumentative also has a vibrational frequency. Always needing to be right has a vibrational frequency. Dictating to others on how they should act, live and speak has a vibrational frequency. I respectfully and humbly disagree with your statement of the Law of Attraction. Deepak has explained the word Ahimasa to us and the intention, not the word, is from a loving and compassionate place. That is all that matters. It is what is within your heart that will attract mostly, not what comes out of your mouth. Check your motives and truly ask yourself if this is based upon the need to be right. I.E. EGO
Peace

Hello Krissy and Stu,
I am not sure if I am welcomed in this discussion but anyways…..participating unless the butt is kicked….. lol
Stu: I am wondering what Deepak said about Ahimsa…
I know Hindi….and Actually Non-Violence is not really the right translation for the word Ahimsa……… Ahimsa does not have an english counterpart…….so non-V was made up in order to signify the same meaning…….
Krissy has a point too when she stresses upon Peace…….because more we nurture compassion in our hearts ….. that energy consumes our negativity of anger……. and if we really experience it in depth….. it's transformation of same energy….
I feel most important aspect of V or P is
"That is all that matters. It is what is within your heart that will attract mostly, not what comes out of your mouth"
Thankyou for letting me share !!!!!
Jatinder
Jatinder,
Essentially that is what Deepak explained that the word had no English counterpart. Yes peace is the desired outcome. That is my point. Why are we debating the method of reaching this goal. There are as many paths up the mountain as people to walk them. There is no wrong way to do the right thing. What we do resist will persist. I understand this. I am completely open to discussion but I can't speak for Deepak. It is his intention to begin with and I feel he can only answer that word ahimsa in his own way. I am not professing to know everything but I am certain it must come from the heart if we want peace. Not thge intellect and nothe mind …or choice of words. Other thoughts are always welcomed Jatinder and I thank you for taking the time to add. I also am glad that we do care about humanity . It is truly beautiful that we do have one thing in common. The desire for peace! We must focus on our commonality, rather than our diffrerences. Thank you for your input.

Beautiful reply for Jatinder
Thankyou Stu

These thoughts are really "pearls" on Planet Intent…
Jatinder,
A pleasure to have your awareness and share this intention with all. It does truly boil down to what we all have within our hearts. We all desire peace. I will focus on that commonality between us all. It is truly a beautiful thing we all share. I am always ready and open for healthy discussion and I know I have lots to learn from all walks of life. I love what you said about the tress. They do not struggle. They have acceptance always. It reminds me of Jesus saying "watch the lillies, they neither toil or spin". We can all learn from each other if our hearts are open. I pray that I can live from my heart and learn how to turn the mind off until it is needed for a math problem. lol
Peace

God… you got me really excited and jumpy on my chair….
I remember hearing this one other thing about Jesus said, "Only Those can reach Kingdom of God, who have become like children again"…..
I remember I kept on pondering over this day and night……trying to understand …. it took me years to finally build an existencial understanding of it…..and this is how I realized it to be true for me..
Children have pure hearts and Adults because of their conditioning has their hearts wired with all kinds of negativity (seven deadly sins)…..so basically what Jesus was asking me is to Cleanse my heart and become like a Child again…….In that Purity of Heart…………..will I realize myself as well as life…….
I Love Jesus……
Jatinder
Very Much Cool!!!
"I pray that I can live from my heart and learn how to turn the mind off until it is needed for a math problem. lol"
hahaha….what a way to say it….. Thank Stu.
I hope Krissy is okay and not annoyed……She has a lot of Insight
I like it all.
In Zen, there's a pointing to things that are not. It is not this, it is not that. It it through the piling up of what is not that a greater understanding of what is…is. Then another culture that describes what IS to sharply eliminate what is not.
These are the colors of culture. Thankfully, we are diverse enough and varied in our perspectives to engage in this interplay without fear that we will fall apart. I actually trust the process MORE through this apparent disparity. I'm constantly suspicious of monolithic thought and full and constant agreement: it is said that when Stalin spoke, EVERYONE clapped, and I don't imagine that sort of uniformity was a good thing.
God is great. Far greater than our slight symantic differences, the parsing of sentences. So like a family at the dinner table, we're liable to squabble, occasionally intensely, but all the more like a great masterpiece of music pulled into radical dissonance, seeking at the end of coming measure, perfect resolution.
Dana…. this is so profound

Original Masterpiece…………This is the greatest gift of all when anyone speaks from their hearts……it's always "original" and contains energy.

It is not about me having to be right. Not at all. Again, my only intention is to create peace. I am only trying to make sure that is what we create. I am not here to fight with you and be told this is about my ego. I know what is in my heart. What is in my heart is the fact that we are here and have the power to create peace on earth and I am here attempting to make sure nothing gets in the way of that. When one says the word violence, it conjures up images of just that. That is all I am saying. Most don't know what ahimsa means unless it is explained. However, everyone I know does understand the word PEACE. I am not attempting to tell people what they need to think. My intention is to assist in expanding the consciousness of the planet. That is my focus and always will be. Not my ego, not anything else…lol. One cannot recognize in another what one doesn't he himself possess. SHEESH…lol!!! BIG SMILE.
Namaste,
Krissy
To all,
I am reminded of the serenity prayer…
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change (.i.e. other people and their reality)
The courage to change the things I can (my own attitude and heart)
And the wisdom to know the difference.
I am truly happy that we do all want peace. A better world. I will continue to focus my intention on that. We do share that commonality. It is a beautiful thing. I am aware that to change the world is beyond my power. I can however change myself. If I want to change the world I must start by changing myself. I will make sure that my side of the street is in peace and harmony, thats all I can do.
Thanks to all for this discussion. I have learned a great deal.
Peace
Stu
Well, well, when strong minds come together there is bound to be disagreements, and chaos. Life can only come from chaos, there is no such thing as perfect harmonious creation, in this realm of duality we must accept and recognize that without disagreement there can be no agreement.
The universe operates under universal laws and it can do nothing else, I think what Krissy is trying to point out is that our words are the raw material of our creation, it is not about ego, nor about being right or wrong, nor taking credit.
Ahimsa is not an actionable word. Universe only operates on actionable words. Ahimsa is a rule of conduct, not an intention to bring about peace.
I think the argument becomes heated when we ignore the consequences of our words, when we confuse the intention with actions. Universe only knows how to create, there is no mechanism of non-creation in creation.
Krissy's point is to focus on creation, what do we want to create? If there are doubts about the power of spoken word, read your bible and Torah, and Quran and Zohar and understand that every single command God issued was a command to "BE"
So let there be peace, and in that peace let us live our lives in Ahimsa.
