Barack, my name is Ziggy, I am a 50 year old American now living full time in Chile, South America. I have lived a full and exciting life. I am proud to say I am an American, however for many years I have not been proud of the actions of its leaders, starting with the personal behavior of President Clinton and continuing on with the failed policies of president Bush. I have been a business owner and republican most of my life, though I hold many very independent views.
There have been times in my life when I have had political aspirations, during the late 60s and early seventies when I was a young man complaining about the actions of my country my father would say, ¨If you really want to be the change that is needed then get inside the government and work from the inside out because attacking it from the outside will only make it dig in more.¨
I would like to share with you something I found during these times that I felt reflected the America I wanted to see. I think you will enjoy this.
¨If you would like to seize this time for change, a change in government, a change in leadership then may your change reflect the higher needs of mankind. May it have a visionary approach. May it allow mankind to leap forward to a lighter, fairer, kinder times. May peoples needs, from the most basic to the highest spiritual and creative, be catered to. May your new government not consider how best to improve the lot of a section of society, but be prepared to make sweeping changes which alter attitudes for the uplifting of all people.
May their happiness and well being as a whole be the tangible effect of the change. May your policies allow people to feel different about their everyday lives-better cared for, with more freedom, more creative opportunities, less restrictions, higher standards in everything.
May your policies for change be seen, tangible, felt, comprehensible and meaningful. May your change always have the quality of the utmost clarity and simplicity. Because people know when they are lied to: they know when promises are nothing but empty words: they are perfectly well aware of the truth.
The change you bring about is serious and brilliant, great change has the quality of being fundamental and far reaching. It will take time for these changes, however to influence every stratum of society. One must not be over-zealous or impatient. Such major change of policy and action have a way of permeating into the structures of society and the details gradually work themselves out naturally. It takes time for the effect of changes to sweep through the land but, if they are well tuned to the time and to the needs of the time, they will have the correct readjusting effect. At first the effects will appear superficial but gradually they will deepen and become a part of the new scheme of things. It is like a musical composition: once the new key and the basic melody have been established, the orchestration and variety of sound arise naturally.¨
This seems like such sound advise for these times we live in, yet what makes this advise so clear and amazing is that it was written over 1000 years ago, and applies to all countries and all times, it is from the ancient Chinese ¨Book of Changes¨ The ¨I Ching¨. For most of my life I have used this ancient way of making decisions about my business and my life, it has led me well. This quote is taken from the i-ching on business and decision making translation by Guy Damian-Knight by destiny books.
It is from number Hexagram 49 ¨Revolution¨ which opens with ¨Every revolution starts with one man with the vision¨ Barack, I hope and pray you are that man. Good luck and may God speed your mission for change.
I am retired and residing in Chile. I am now pursuing my mission for change by building a center in southern Chile, that once complete will present the real, concrete solutions needed by all countries to make sure the footprint we leave on Mother Earth is a green one.

Ziggy and Dusty! One of my favorite movies, the Blues Brothers has a line in it, ¨We Are On A Mission From God¨ and what a glorious mission it is. From the day we are born to the day we die, we live each life time moment to moment. It is said that on the day we pass from this lifetime we get to reflect back over each of those moments we have lived in a life's review. What will your life's review be? I hope mine will be one of happiness, smiles and contentment for the love, compassion and kindness I have shared with other Beings on this planet, I hope I will see a life of service and feel the warm tender vibrations of those I have touched, helped and healed. I hope I will see lessons learned and lessons taught in equal portions. I hope I look back on the Earth from above and see a small and very colorful footprint and know the path I walked was a green one. Ziggy birth announcement and his obituary: Ziggy was born into this lifetime in the color of the throat Chakra, turquoise. His father said he came into this world with a voice for all those that could not find theirs. From a very early age he became a rebel with a cause. As a teen he grew his hair, grabbed his guitar and joined the protest movement of Vietnam. He didn't´t go to Woodstock but he knew most of the songs played there and had a gift of creating inspirational music on the fly that would later earn him to his indigenous name, ¨He who pulls songs from the sky.¨ At an early age he picked up the pen and wrote. From his first assignment as a columnist for his high school paper, changing THE ESTABLISHMENT quickly became his life's work and his signature. He held his fathers creed closely: ¨If you do not love the one your with, do her a favor and leave her. If you do not like your job, do your fellow workers a favor and leave it. If you do not like your country do us all a favor and leave.¨ He found someone he loved and stayed with her for 20 years, he found a boss he liked working with, himself and shaved the boss almost every day of his life. When he did not like the direction his country was heading, he left it and found a new one. When he first moved there with his family the Ukraine had just become the new America. There he again found freedom of speech, religion and a passion for life. He earned the nickname ¨The Cowboy¨ and discovered what it would have been like to live in the wild west. His first novel ¨Come Under My Roof¨ was reflection of his families life in the wild east. Several years later his son connected him with Costa Rica and there he reconnected to himself. His first Reiki session reintroduced him to the world of energy healing, the world of energy healing put him back on his ¨Mission From God¨ H.E.A.L. (Healing Earth And Life) Following the energy he moved to south America and there he said ¨God lead him¨ to the land of his ancestors, the Mapuche. Here he wrote his second book H.E.A.L., became a old school Reiki Master, discovered his Shaman, entered the road to the medicine Buddha and received the name Nuela Chogyal, explored the colors of his Chakras and learned how to use them all to heal others and the planet he loved. Throughout his life Ziggy used the tool shed called humanity and he always left it organized, clean, supported, feed, serenaded, happy and healthy. He is survived by this very same humanity and it is better for his coming. Ziggy, this is lovely and a clear vision…..an essential foundational piece for PEACE and the changes socially that are necessary. Obama is an Icon, a voice for change and the power of change will generate chaos, confusion and resistance. Which we see nationally. No matter how we humans complain, change is resisted on ever so many levels. So if the above vision that you offer is to become a reality at ant level, it truly is up to you, me and the global family….one at a time to embrace the change that we must in order to make our contribution to the collective that is essential for transformation. This is one of the most critical times in the evolution of humanity to create a new relationship with sustainable values, a truly respectful and life supporting love for our Earth and all life….one day at a time, one person at a time….and then the critical mass will carry it.
