I don’t have chest nuts roasting on an open fire and Jack Frost is not nipping at my nose, but that does not stop me from counting my blessings and being thankful for all my fingers and every one of my toes.
I attend the Center for Spiritual Living and am blessed to enjoy a dynamic embodied spirit named Rev. Mike McMorrow-Spiritual Director. He offers such rich gifts each week; one in particular rings in my ears almost every day. As we were going into this holiday season, he did a talk on how each one of us shows up for the season’s events. Along with how we show up, we also can carry with us expectations that may not pan out the way we actually thought they would into an environment of family and friends who usually push our most sensitive buttons.
Showing up as the truth of who you are was the next part of Rev-Mike’s talk. Being and bringing presence into these precious moments we live. His words reminded me of Eckhart Tolle’s class in presence, and how we can take a few moments before entering into a situation or driving a car to intentionally become present. When in this state, no words or life situations can change our energy. Everything just is.
Rev-Mike also offered tips like not being late, or you will show up as the late one, apologetic and not get to bring in the presence of who you really are staying away from alcohol if you are the type to overindulge. This is a powerful practice and I am grateful for it.
This year I am setting the intention to show up and remain in presence. I have no expectations of anything or anyone and I find it freeing. If you have freeing practices for the Holiday Season, please feel free to share so others and myself and partake in your offering.
With Love and Many Blessings to You and Yours This Season,

To be truly present, Renay, I'm with you all the way with intent. It's the superposition of quantum, for me…..in the world but not of it, in the sense that all is okay right there in the moment including the amazing potential most immediate at hand.
Sorry if I'm a bit late
I think what is important on this holiday is that we have our loved ones around us to share this wonderful experience. This year is a rough day for all of us especially in terms of financial but we are lucky that we are able to survive this. What is important is that we are able to invest something for our children
