Orgasms

It is just past midnight and I am looking out the window of the twenty seventh floor of the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas as my tantric crone goddess gets to rest and sleepfully recover from the rigors of her prolonged and continuous orgasms.  It is a true measure of how far our society is from the Divine Feminine, the Schechinah, the Goddess, that an open and direct discussion of orgasm is perhaps the most taboo subject in our society.  We can watch movies about violence,  we can talk about torture in the name of national security but somehow understanding orgasm is too unsettling, too far from the norm to even talk about let alone experience.

It is not just our society that feels that way.  Greek myth shows us that even though they were so much closer in time to a Goddess ruled society the authors of the Greek myths were no more comfortable than we are.  The God Zeus and Goddess Hera were arguing about who received the greater pleasure from sex.  Hera knew that women did but did not want Zeus to know that so she argued the opposite.  Disinformation goes back a long way.

Tireseus a priest of Zeus was transformed into a woman and lived as a woman for between seven to ten years in different versions of the story.  Upon returning to male form Tireseus informed Zeus that of the pleasures of sexuality women received nine parts out of ten.  Hera was so mad about Zeus learning this that she blinded Tireseus.  Zeus was powerless to overturn Hera’s punishment so he compensated Tireseus by making him a prophet.  The blind prophet leads Odysseus into Hades so he can learn how to overcome Penelope’s suitors after a twenty year absence divided between the Trojan War and the Odyssey.

We have learned from modern science some intriquing aspects of orgasm.  First it has been known for a long time that orgasm requires both the maximal functioning of both the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.  These are not under conscious control but are experienced as fight or flight, or protect and conserve.  When I was in medical school I was taught that only orgasm united these two opposite neurological systems.  New work by D’Aquili and Newburg discovered that during meditation that leads to the experience of mystical union with the Divine, the same union of opposites take place within the brain.  They proposed that  the spiritual experience is derived from the sexual experience evolutionarily within the brain.

Orgasm in many ways is the main focus of my lifelong study.  Specifically because it ties together so many different aspects of being a human being.    The difference between the orgasms of men and women are essential to understand.  Male orgasm is tied to ejaculation and is a brief and intense experience.  As soon as boys start to masturbate they learn to orgasm and ejaculate.  For young girls growing into womanhood, orgasm is not so simple.

Perhaps the best way to understand this is to look at healthy versus unhealthy sexuality.  As a former sex addict who has learned sex with intimacy and then sacred sexualtiy I will share the essential difference.  Briefly addictive sex is sex with fear, where the primary mediator in the brain and blood is adrenaline.  Your heart beats thunderously and your arousal results in a tremendous explosion.  Neither intimacy or feelings are required.  Once sexual release occurs the addict will act like a coyote in a trap and chew off his paw to escape.  Tragically just like devotees of roller coaster thrills, more and more extreme situations are required to maintain the same level of arousal.

Sex with intimacy requires knowing and being known, requires honesty, and the sharing of love.  The situation integrates both adrenaline like arousal and simultaneously feelings of safety and love for the female orgasm to take place.  It is the release of oxytocin in the hypothalamus and blood that dominates.  This is a very important and magical experience that literally rewires the brain.  More than any other experience, this is what makes a woman feel and know in a gnostic way that she is beautiful and loved.  Everywoman needs and deserves to feel this way.

To be frank I worship and adore the female orgasm.  This is not because I am sexually deviant but because the transformative and transcendent experience of multiple and then prolonged and continuous orgasms are so profound.  This is where the realm of sacred sexuality and sex magic begins.  It is truly the joining of souls and simultaneously joins the human with the Divine.  It is the female aspect of Divinity the Schechinah who enters this union.  The intentional union of spirituality and sexuality has the potential to evolutionarily transform humanity and our history.

    Dear Stuart

Good post! Its both intresting and informative!Meaningfull or full of meaning I say!

I am surprised that this goal of union of spirituality and sexuality was attained by ancient Indain society almost more than 25oo-1000, years ago!In their combing-Dharma(Religion),Artha(Money/wealth),Kama(all desires/including sexual sesires also),Moksha(Nirvana/Enlightenment)as a meanigful way of Life!

As also is evident in Their Vedic scriptures, Tantrik Texts,'Vatsaynas Kama sutras' (elaborations on technicals, emotional ethical, asthetic and social aspects of Sex),and dipictions of gods and godesses on the walls of Khujurao Temples!Yoga and Tantra together has the potential for the transfromation of humanity and history,as envisaged by you in last lines!Amen!Jai Ho!

    With Love and Best wishes!

Dear Arun, This goal of unifying spirituality and sexuality is not limited to one place or time but is I believe timeless as it is the fruit of our evolution as human beings. I believe that our survival as a species for 183,000 years was due to this integration, which was then separated by patriarchal culture 7,000 years ago. The re-emergence in Taoist, Hindu, Buddhist / Tantra, and in Kabbalah should not be a surprise. Thank you so much for your comments.

    love and light,

    Stuart

I think one of the major problems of society is our ignorance about sex! My current theory is that female orgasms generate excess energy by increasing the "rpm" of the Krebs cycle, causing ATP to recycle at a higher rate. The transport of these electrons through the nerves is only about 30 cm/sec, causing a traffic jam of electrons. This excess energy may be responsible for gene expression which allows us to use our brains in a less limited capacity. However, it is the energy of love that directs the electrons to the proper genes for expression. This energy is transmitted to the man via the penis: the first magic wand or "wand of light."

I would love to discuss this further with you.
