Peace

Breathing in as you read this sentence, breathing out as you read this next sentence, continuing to breathe slowly and deeply as you read this and I do the same as I write.

Raw foods became a part of my journey over five years ago.  I was overweight and very unhealthy.  You should see the old photos!!  I lost a hundred pounds, became a marathon runner and moved to California in the middle of this process.

Angel Peace was born in 2006 with the birth of my second son and I listened to my Angels and Guides more than anyone else and their first bit of guidance was to become a raw foodist.  So to that end, I have been a raw foodist, on and off since then.  I teach raw food classes and help clients with detoxification and in general getting healthy.

My blog on my website AngelPeace is where I post a lot of my recipes and information about my practice, but I wanted to post here about Peace today.

As the peaceful protest in NYC continues, I ask you if you are reading to breathe and send the police officers in NYC peace so they are kind today.

If you are struggling in any way today, breathe in peace, breathe out peace.  This word is simple, yet my how our egos can spin us in circles when all we want is peace!

Food and peacefulness are related.  When one eats less, the body is less agitated.  When one eats foods that are live, one feels more alive, and more at peace.  When you are at ease, eating live foods, you become more in harmony with nature and all of life.  This builds peace within so you can create peace on the exterior.

On that note, drinking more water also helps to create peace in the body.  We breathe, drink water (I like to use a lot of flower essences in my water) and we breathe out peace.  We absorb our hydration, enhance our energy with chlorophyll (green live foods are the best) and whatever goodness nature can provide us today.

Today I am checking out some yummy huge ripe mangoes my friend Maya bought.  They are delicious.

Cheers to your next raw food adventure.

Love and peace,

Peace

I have been looking for peace in the world – outside myself – for many years. It had not occured to me where I could truly find it.

I searched babies faces, sunny days, the breeze in the trees, smiling faces, and the effects of these were only temporary, before I fell back to seeing anger and pain. Peace resisted me!

Perhaps I resisted peace! For all it took was one person to say to me; "For peace to exist in this world, you must first find peace of mind".

And with thanks to brother Deepak’s beautiful words of inspiration, I have indeed discovered peace of mind!

No more do I seek peace…… I am it! I feel it! I love it!

And it sure does love me back, for each day I look into the sky and say; "thank you" – with a heart full of gratitude – the sun finds me wherever I am, and shining down on me brightly and lovingly, it says "you’re welcome".

I take both my hands and placing them together in front of my face with my fingers pointing upwards, I say; "Namaste", for I do in-deed feel the connection, the love and the mutual respect from my beloved Universe.

Treat me well and love me all-ways and I will do the same……or….do unto others as you would have them do unto you (bible excerpt)……..there is no difference in the meaning, yet it begins with one person – yourself.

Know thyself and love thyself, find inner peace, joy and happy-ness, and feel abundant!

Namaste

Andrea

About Andrea Smart

I have been a writer for many years and have held corporate positions in marketing and business development for much of my career. Having received my last redundancy notice in Feb 09, I decided I would write full time, on a freelance basis, and also copywrite for people's businesses. It has been an interesting ride so far and I have learnt much more about life and myself in these few short months, than in many years! I recommend it! Soon, I will train to work with pre-school children so I can help bring childcare and parenthood into a new age of awareness. I will document my challenges, my successes and my visions, for people all over the world to read and learn from. As the children of today are the adults of tomorrow, it is right that we learn from them by giving them their right to voice their wishes. What did you experience as a child and how have you put that period to good use today? These are interesting thoughts, enjoy them and please share them with me, if you feel inclined. Thank you.

    Dearest Vashi,

the sequence of peace and non-peace, mantras and gaps in between them are expression (shiksha) of the Vedas.

    Om shanti, shanti, shanti.

Thanks for putting up this beautiful mantras about knowledge(light) and peace, and the knowledge contained in peace, and the peace contained in the knowledge.

    Love.

PEACE
copyright 2004 A. Kroeger

Peace! Peace! Oh, fragile blossom,
cast your seeds into our fallow hearts.

Drink the salty tears of our
weary, weeping world.

Sink your tender roots among our
fractured stones of discontent.

Feed upon the soft, decaying tissues of our
torment and turmoil.

Purple sage and hyacinth,
desert cactus bloom,

edelweiss and daffodil,
canna lilly, rose,

lift your giddy fragrence to the
palet of our minds.

Peace! Peace! Oh, fragile blossom,
Propagate your beauty in our souls.

Peace

Peace is what happens when the fighting ends.

There is nothing to be gained by fighting, because the act of fighting covers the very thing that is hoped will be achieved by fighting. This applies to our outer world, and more pressingly, to our inner world.

Look at yourself in this moment. Are you fighting life? Are you fighting what IS already? Are you fighting your body? Are you fighting some aspect of your mind? Fighting anything keeps your attention on that which you do not want in your reality, and it keeps it alive.

I encourage you to end the fighting. To lay down your arms. To wave the white flag of surrender, surrendering to the purity of what is. Surrender to love, and there will be no more fighting, only peace.

In Love,

Lewis

peace

recent cut backs in business have allowed me more free time to explore things and opportunities unavailable to me when working all the time. some would be distracted by the current state of my affairs but i see it as a gift bestowed upon me. my free time has allowed for me to be more involved in my daughters life(though they might think think i’m too involved already..lol..) and we all enjoy our times together. i have also been dragged to a yoga session by a friend who also turned me on to you guys..many thanks to him! i’m beginning to see how the mind is healed by the body and relaxtion is possible all day long.my usual frantic days now have become ones of inner peace and a want  of learning and exploring more. thanks for listening! tw

Peace

Sunset over Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown, New Zealand

It is easier to feel peaceful in nature. However, if we are lost in thought and not aware of the silence within us we will not experience peace. If our attention is on the present moment, we will feel peaceful in the middle of a crowded, noisy city.
Peace is not something to be sought in the outside world. We need to recognize it within ourselves.
Our addiction to compulsive thinking keeps us from being peaceful. By constantly drawing our attention away from our thoughts and towards being present, we will be one with our true nature.
Let’s embody peace.
