Pioneer
You dare to love me, or is it I who dares to let you into
territories that no one risks to claim, into
abysses where no one dreams to go.
When you enter, you devour the tenderness inside of me, and transform
tenderness into bliss.
When you enter, you devour the goodness within me, and digest
goodness into ecstasy.
When you enter, you devour the virtue within me, and alchemize
virtue into nobility.
You claim this land; all that I am is yours to claim.
That which is not helpful, you spit out with a mouth vaster than this
galaxy. And you blow it away with a breath steadier softer sweeter than
my breathing.
Yes, you dare — dare to love in a way that no person has ever attempted.
You turn human affection to dirt, and bury old sorrow beneath the dirt.
Divine Pioneer, you turn their unskillful attempts at love into ice, and that ice becomes stars
that burn behind my eyes.
