Religion in the Presidential Campaign

An article in the Washington Post On Faith section in response to their question: Advise John McCain and Barack Obama on the role religion should play in their presidential campaigns.

This will be a short response: I’d advise both candidates the same way. Don’t mention religion a single time in the upcoming campaign.

    Hi Deepak,

You are right. Well, tonight is Obama's acceptance speech at the Democratic Convention. I am just an outsider, but after I heard Michelle speak a few days ago I am inspired too by the change that is already developing in the U.S.

Barack Obama now needs to make his topic 'Change' more concrete. Together with Joe Biden they will have to come up with 'real' issues of change. By real I mean that it is already visible in society.

Now it really is a matter of going up or going down: making a quantum jump upwards :)

    Love, Mieke
