Question: I wonder what "soul whisperer" really means. I’m in fact interested in how you "soul whisper." Do you teach the technique?
Answer: It’s like any other ‘whisperer.’ In my case, it’s the soul that’s being brought out or forth, rather than kept hidden. My main method is Reiki, but hold your horses…erm…just hold.
The soul by its nature is hidden and interacts with us through whispers. This doesn’t mean it’s unavailable or without strength. In fact, soul power is more abiding than the kinds of material power we see in the world. The soul is subtle and quiet and ever-present; it’s with us but often and repeatedly we’re not with it.
The soul is hidden away in fear, lost under shame, burned in anger, sold for cheap thrills, and generally ignored. It’s also abused and stolen. This leaves only a shell of a person, sallow, weak, vacant, unenergized, disempowered and a stranger to his or her own self.
Physical, psychological and spiritual well-being returns once the shell is animated again. Reiki is one way to facilitate this, both by sessions from a practitioner, or by being trained and practicing daily yourself. There are other spiritual practices of course, as well as transpersonal therapy, having a creative outlet, journaling, living your passion, living authentically, and not compromising your values.
Since the soul is essentially your most spiritual part, an authentic method of spiritual healing is the best way to reclaim your soul. Get some good help and commit to the inner work. To ensure there isn’t a relapse, integrate a spiritual practice that makes sense to you into your daily routine.
Much sorrow, suffering, failure, drama, obsessions and addictions occur when soul parts are voluntarily given away or buried, or when there’s theft and abuse. Yet those soul parts are available to be reclaimed, repolished and reconnected with you.
How much soul work is needed depends on the severity of the disconnect and how much darkness the soul is in. I don’t want to give the impression that the following exercise is all one would need in calling soul parts back to oneself, but I wanted to end with something you can practice now. Exercise: This is a journaling mini-project. Remember that journaling isn’t about writing well or even grammatically correctly. It’s about allowing your thoughts, feelings and intuitions to take word shapes. Each entry doesn’t need to be complete everytime you journal. You can revisit and continue exploring. Associative threads will emerge. It’s safe to express yourself in this way. Don’t censor and let it flow.
Here are some writing prompts for you to stream out onto the page:
- What is soul to me?
- How do I express my soul?
- How do I hide my soul?
- When have I given my soul away?
- What events in my past stole my soul?
- Soul, how can I help you return to me?
- How can I infuse the world with soul?
I’d be honored to meet your soul, so please let me know how it goes. We can also discuss other subtleties in the comments section.
