Spirit

Question:

Will my spirit forsake me?   My inspiration has diminished greatly over the years, and I do not believe I’m living up to my true potential.  Thanks and love!

Answer:

No, your spirit won’t forsake you no matter what. It can’t forsake you, because it is your inner essence, your core truth. It stands apart from all your self-doubts, fears, disappointments and dejections. It is your pure potential that awaits your awakening with judgment or disapproval.

Don’t criticize yourself for not living up to your full potential, just do something every day that brings you a little bit closer to your full abilities.

Love,

Deepak

The Spirit

Many people seem to get hung up about the concept of Spirit.  How I conceive it is quite simple but may be different to your view.  Mine is this – I am a spirit, I have a mind and I live in a body.  From my viewpoint, my spirit is eternal, was placed into my body or connected to my body at the time of conception. Was it alive before that?, I don’t know.  My understanding, thus far is that my spirit was created by God and therefore is part of God.  I am not God, I am a creation of the Creator.  I don’t worship my spirit, I worship God. Having come from God, I have the nature of God.  As I spend time in God’s presence I become more like Him. When I was growing up I was told many a time to be careful with whom I mix.   Chose your friends carefully because as you spend time with them, you pick up their habits and so become like them.  Spending time in meditation, being still before God, helps you get to recognize His ways. As I dwell on the things of God, I recognize Him more easily in everyday life.  I become more like Him.   Please feel free to comment or give your insight into this subject.

Suppose you found out that you were a ghost,
would you continue to haunt or move on?
Do you think you would try your uttermost
to talk to those who weep because you

About poeteye

Primarily a poet, I started the hypno-musical Versonics: The Verse That Can Happen which performed at L.A.'s Llhasa Club, Beyond Baroque Gallery and The Performing Arts Center, with recordings later broadcast on KCSB 91.9 FM in Santa Barbara. I've merited publication in 2AM Magazine, Prophetic Voices, Poetic Justice, and various small press literary journals. I founded and sponsored R.A.I.L. (Readers And Interested Listeners), which combined featured poets with open-mike readings and became a part of the Santa Barbara Poetry Festival. Invited back to KCSB radio to read my poetry set to original music on the programs The Art Of Peace and Music Soup, I continued as a regular monthly guest on Music Soup for a year. Recently, several of my poems on physics were published on the Non-equilibrium Phenomena blog of the noted physicist Dmitry Podolsky of the University of Helsinki, Finland. Currently I am producing videos of my poetry for the Santa Barbara Television channels (Channels 17 & 21) and website (sbchannels.net/Versonics-the-verse-that-can-happen). I am an orchid judge for the American Orchid Society and own an orchid nursery called Chaotic Exotics. I have had articles and poetry published in every major publication dealing with orchids, including the Orchid Review which is published by the Royal Horticultural Society.

Spirit, in part, seems to be that essence in which you can disagree with people but still respect them and even love them.

About SatChitAnanda

I am from Little Rock, Arkansas where I live now. I spent many years after college owning and running a Retail store and that was very interesting and educational from many points of view, but I knew that business wasn't what I loved doing. So now I part time help with my father's building business and work the rest of the time as one of my Chinese friends calls "My Interesting" which is writing, music, reading, meditating, spiritual activities and seeing the common thread that brings it all together.

Yes, the leaves of one side of The Great Tree can view freely a whole different world from that of the leaves of the other side! They somehow realize internally that the view is not the thing itself. The word "miracle" has "mira" = "to look at, to wonder at" as its Latin root. The only thing real is the Life inherent within the Great Tree and all its members. Everything else is a breeze, a wind, a storm, a noise, or stillness.
