In Trance, A Love Poem by Starshine

It is in the eyes of you that I find me again and again,
reliving the lives I’ve known with you when
we were walking dirt streets and camped in dark alleys
and were lost in the mountains on a cold winter’s night,
and all the while, in the sweet love we were knowing,
I knew that the blue of the skies
and the blue of your eyes
would carry us from one world to the other,
never finding the way back to the very same place,
yet finding us looking our lives in the face,
                              in the eyes,
                                          in the skies,
                                                               so blue . . .
In trance, do I dance
amidst the soul of your soul
wrapped in the unending
wind-water’s cape
that finds its way ‘round me
because of your depth,
a depth that calls to me silently in night’s fallen hours,
that sends my heart soaring in skies beyond heavens
and lands myself here in the room of your keeping,
here, where goodness and glory are lit in the candles
and night sends us sleeping to wisp away hours
as day has us keeping the song of the night.
 
            I surrender . . .
                               to your sereneness,
                                                      your compliance,
                                                                        your actualization
                                                                                       of love’s spiritualness

while the blue of our eyes drapes love’s eternal skies
entrancing the soul of our souls into the Dance of Our Lives.
