Beyond all thoughts and feelings, beyond all possessions and achievements, beyond even love – we are divine, perfect, at peace and one with the One. This is what Jesus of Nazareth meant when he affirmed "the Father and I are One."
The task of life is to remember this eternal truth: while we are working, while we are playing, while we are loving, while we are praying…… we are in essence - perfect, divine, peace, and one with the One. The more we remember, the more we become who we already are.
If we want water we don’t think about wanting water, we turn on the tap. If we want peace, we don’t have to will it or work for it, we simply need to remember and rest in the reality that we already are peace.
Decades of striving, working, reaching and desiring have left me with this understanding: I already am what I seek, I already possess what I want and need. There is no need for pilgrimage, the transforming words of a sage, an ascendency to a new level. There is only the opportunity to embrace who and what we really are, in this moment.
Just Being, is really enough.

Amen to that, you are lacking nothing nor wanting nothing when your (or remember you're) at home in your Father's embrace.
Love posts like this, Kurt

It's a quart+ Greg. The crux is, trying to fit it into this arbitrary pint pot?

Dear Greg,
At the age of 51, after much striving and many challenges, I've come around to the same conclusion. A scoundrel.
Bob
Dear Kurt:
Thank you the wisdom you share. I can't think of anyone here who speaks with more clarity and authenticity on enlightenment and Self-realization than you.

Dear Brother GREG!
I liked the post much!
You are absolutely right. And!This is the essence (only thing) to be realized!
That's why Indian Saint Poet 'KABIR' sang:
"Where do you search me?
I am with you
Not in pilgrimage, nor in icons
Neither in solitudes
Not in temples, nor in mosques
Neither in Kaba nor in Kailash(pilgrimages!)
I am with you O man
I am with you
Not in prayers, nor in meditation
Neither in fasting
Not in yogic exercises
Neither in renunciation
Neither in the vital force nor in the body
Not even in the ethereal space
Neither in the womb of Nature
Not in the breath of the breath
Seek earnestly and discover
In but a moment of search
Says Kabir, Listen with care
Where your faith is, I am there."
In another Poem Kabir elaborates:
"There's a moon in my body…
There's a moon in my body, but I can't see it!
A moon and a sun.
A drum never touched by hands, beating, and I can't hear it!
As long as a human being worries about when he will die,
and what he has that is his,
all of his works are zero.
When affection for the I-creature(EGO-I-ness) and what it owns is dead,
then the work of the Teacher is over.
The purpose of labor is to learn;
when you know it, the labor is over.
The apple blossom exists to create fruit; when that
comes, the petal falls.
The musk is inside the deer, but the deer does not
look for it:
it wanders around looking for grass."
And! above all! my beloved Swami Vivekananda said most succinctly:
"Each soul is potentially divine.
The goal is to manifest this Divinity within by controlling nature, external and internal.
Do this either by work, or worship, or psychic control, or philosophy
Dear Brother @run:
