John, this is absolute delight. Again I have bookmarked this article and will be reading it again and again. It is a pure article.
I think in the same way we have pumping stations all over our body and it is not just our heart which pumps.
Give me more.

There is more to the mind-body connection than is evident here.
maybe you are going to get to that later?:)
John…
This is great! I can't wait to tell my students of this. I keep trying to find scientific proof, that is understandable, to relate to them on how the power of yoga actucally works. Thank you and keep them coming.
There certainly is more going on to the mind-body connection than is evident here Mike…and what a great forum to discuss it!
My goal with this series is to explore and explain how one's biology, anatomy and physiology both effect and are effected by environment, thoughts, emotions etc. and how, THROUGH the physical/somatic body one can embody and sustain more depth and expansion of consciousness…while reducing pain and becoming more flexible, adaptable, connected and compassionate in the process.
Between the work of Ken Wilber, Donald Epstein, Joseph Chilton Pierce, Donald Bakal, Bruce Lipton, Beverly Rubik, Candace Pert, and dozens of other philosphers and scientists, we've got a pretty compelling story about mind-body and consciousness going!
I welcome all of your comments and questions!
Warmly,
John
