The vow

As a man, and as a artist, I would take the Vow, but as a soldier, warrior; I can not. As an soldier, I sworn to protect freedom, but I can take a vow, to protect the vow, with my dying breath; for protecting the Vow is protecting freedom.

A Vow

I, Krissy Saunders, at 6:50pm November 8th, 2008, take a vow toward peace and beautiful thoughts to create peace and beauty on earth.

About Krissy

"Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them; disagree with them; glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do."----AMEN!!!! Here's to us Indigos :) I must say I am EXCITED to be here among all the beautiful souls that share on this incredible website. A little about me...I was an Atheist until I gave birth to my older son, Lukas, 9.5 years ago. The moment I looked into his innocent eyes, I realized there was a God. The paradigm shift was immediate and irreversible. Since then, I've been on a journey and woke up spiritually. I've come to realize I am here to remember. Remember who I am, and what I came to this dimension to do. I am here to help expand the consciousness of the planet and heal the suffering therein. I'm still figuring out my exact role, and feel drawn to serving humanity RIGHT NOW. I'm passionate about my mission (well and EVERYTHING really...lol), and am enjoying my own becoming--becoming who I came here to be. All this while I share my life with, and mostly learn from, the two little oxygen tanks who chose to assist me on my journey. Lukas and Joshua are my little pieces of perfection who when they say mom, no matter the tone, my insides smile that smile only a parent knows. My boys are light's creation, and have the power to bring tears to my eyes with their breath even when they are testing me. And I wasn't having kids...lol, thank GOD someone somewhere saw the idiocy in my thought process and vetoed my original decision (God is so smart) and I became pregnant :) Okay okay I could go on and on and on and on.... I am honored to be part of this site, and be able to interact with all of you who are sharing, caring, projecting peace, and are willing to share with me and be my friend. Namaste, Krissy

What a great vow to take.

People who smack their children, for the most part do so out of love, but are living in a paradigm, a cultural tradition which probably dates all the way back to the apes. I truly believe there are more positive and effective ways to help children grown into well-rounded members of society.

The Vow

On November 7, 2008, at 9:45 am, I, Deepak Chopra, took a vow of  non-violence in my thoughts, in my speech and in my actions.  I, then, also had an opportunity to ask the almost 500 people attending the plenary session for the Alliance for a New Humanity in Barcelona if they would join me in this commitment.

I first asked them to close their eyes, put their awareness in their hearts and ask themselves honestly and seriously if they were willing to take a vow.

I told them that a vow is a sacred commitment from which there is no going back.  It is like a child that is born, who cannot return to the womb.

I told them if they were ready to take this vow, they should stand up.

People stood up, one by one at first, then in groups of twos and threes, and finally in tidal waves, until more than 450 people had stood up and taken  the vow.

Following this, everybody agreed to have at least two people in their  lives take the vow.  The two in turn, would have two others join them  in taking the vow.  Our immediate goal now is to get 100 Million  people across the world to take this vow.  In the meantime, we will be  setting up ways to measure and support the dramatic effects this  tidal wave of shift in consciousness is going to create.

Are you seriously committed to bringing about a world of peace, harmony, laughter and love by taking this vow and getting two people to join you?

If you are ready, please post a blog here on Intent entitled: I take the vow.

Let us know that you have passed on the vow to two friends.  And, if  you wish tell us your thoughts in the post, we would love to hear them.

Love,

Deepak Chopra

President and Founder of the Alliance For A New Humanity
