WE are part of nature!

While you and I would certainly admire and take care of the flowers around us, would we take care of ourselves in the same way? While you and I may be upset when trees are cut down that should be allowed to live, would we care about ourselves in the same way?

You and I are living beings: part of all that is alive on this earth.  In a sense, everything is part of nature: plants, animals and human beings, rock, minerals and all that comes into being  naturally on this earth.

Let us pray that we can give up the strong desires that often lead us to over indulgence in things that are not good for us.  Let us walk the path of moderation so that we can allow ourself treats of many kinds, once in a while, but not all the time.  Our bodies and our minds are very important as they are what our spirits live within, during our stay on the earth. Let us treat our minds and bodies as if they were the most beautiful and delicate flowers in the world.

Let us develop the necessary discipline to take care of ourselves.
