"I am a donor offspring but only found out recently because I need a bone marrow donor and my DNA was pronounced odd. I loved the father who brought me up dearly but realise that for decades my birth certificate and information I have given to medical personnel and insurers has been a lie. There is a need for truth, not to replace the people who bring us up, not to extract money or forced contact with a donor, but we need the same rights as adoptees. With the way medicine is going in the future we all have a right to know our genetic heritage."
