This week on Intent, we want to hear your tips, tricks and advice on volunteering. Yes, we know that much have been said about volunteering and giving back in light of President Obama’s push for more Americans to serve. We also know that many volunteering resources already exist out there on the internet, in addition to millions of blog posts on why volunteering is good for you and why you should volunteer.
Here is our challenge for this week: we want to hear your ideas on how volunteering can help you on your path to wellness.
To give you some ideas, here are some ideas we thought would be cool to read about: the best volunteer activities for exercising and losing weight. Or some eco-friendly beauty pointers for looking good while volunteering–like organic beauty products or sweat-shop-free T-shirts to wear while cleaning up the beach or clearing forest trails in national parks. Or five volunteer activity suggestions for meeting your future soul mate. You get the drift.
While we’re on the topic of volunteering, we want to remind all of you again that the Intent Team is trying to get as many support clicks as possible on our intent to clean up our beaches. Right now, we have 46 clicks of support. We have until July 15 to get as many clicks as possible. (One support = one minute of Intent Team volunteerig). If we can get a total of at least 90 clicks by mid-July, that would be amazing.
Our beach clean-up day is on Saturday, July 18 at Dockwelier Beach in Southern California between 10AM and noon. We highly encourage all of you Southern California Intenters to join us!
As for the rest of you, maybe you have some volunteering-related intents you’d like to share with us? Share those intentions and let the universe know that you are determined to open your heart and serve others. Feel free to share them in the comments below!
Join Intent’s mission this week to inspire others with ideas on how to bring more wellness into your volunteering. Tag your blog posts "volunteering" and we will be featuring the best weekly content at the end of the week. We can’t wait to read your contributions!
