Question: What happens in the afterlife? People are always curious as to what happens when we or loved ones pass away
I have noticed though that when I am picking up on my client’s guides (I call them your committee), that often there is a relative in the group. Sometimes more than one. However, this isn’t always the case. Sometimes our parents or grandparents or others stay around to help or be a part of our lives. You could think of this as choosing to be a guardian angel . But again, it is up to the individual spirit to decide to do this or not.
When I was 14, I silently asked my grandmother Ruth to watch over me after she died. So, she did. Of course, I did not have to ask as she has made quite a point, after dying too young, to watch over all of her children, and grandchildren too. I was surprised last year to notice that my grandfather had joined her; he died a few years ago. He really never had anything to do with bonding with grandchildren and the like, so it was unexpected to see that. But, as I say, it was up to him to choose some semblance of hanging about or not. I guess I just thought he would not choose. My other grandparents are not around anyone at all and never have been.
So, what I would want to explain about the afterlife is: It is all individual choice.

Dear Margaret,
I can accept the authenticity of your work, but I have to ask what is preventing 'both sides' continuing to communicate, since you are living proof that the gulf is not fixed.
I have no wish to make you redundant, but I do think that awesome Shift for us All is potentialled (coined) and, indeed, that you would be instrumental in shining the way for us.
We gotta get out of this rut!
Love,
ed
Oh Margaret,
I was going to ask, too, about pineal gland and, from what I have read, the mysterious photon-sensing cells, akin to eye retina, that it has lining it's watery interior. That Third Eye is no myth!
I surmise that pineal is very active during NDE.
Is it that we grow to ignore that precious instrument of our being that fixes the 'gulf' and, 'horror of horrors,' leads us to it? (research also shows that it calcifies with age or unnatural diet, it seems)
Thank you,
ed
Ed – your observations and thoughts are very expansive and make me ponder some of those questions you ask.
My first thought when reading about the pineal gland is that you know much more about it than most – could you write up a post on it? I would like to learn more. How fascinating. What do you think?
Hi Margaret,
I am really only a reader/listener of all sorts of stuff that comes my way, mostly online. Whether it is all proven is open to debate but I do like to make connections. I kinda know intuitively how the jigsaw puzzle seems to be shaping up and even with literal, rather complex, jigsaws could always be 'led' to the pieces I was focussing on placing, though I have to admit I do have to stick with it a lot longer than most would consider worth it!
Basically, I was wondering if you had any ideas about the 'mechanism' for your gift of 'seeing' which might add to where my own 'seeing' seems to take me.
Love,
ed
Great Post Sister Margaret,
It explains something to me I have not even thought about. My dad passed a few days after last Christmas. He worshiped the ground his father walked on. Our relationship was quite the opposite, though we were next door neighbors the past 19 years. The day after he left us, I had no sense of his presence and thought little about it. My mother has never said anything about sensing his presence either. But on the wall of my mother's bedroom, is a photo of my dad's father. Though my mom did not approve of the man for one reason and another, she has conversations with that photo, since my dad has passed. A couple weeks ago my mom decided she wanted her ashes interred with my dad's in the family cemetery plot, after having refused my dad's request she do so while he was living. I think this was my grandfather's doing. I also think because my mother would rather be with her sisters today, than here with her son and grandson, she will not be a spirit presence in our lives after she passes on. So not only do I see the spirits make choices, they can often make them before their crossing over.
Let us daily increase in: wisdom, love, gratitude, reverence, healing, peace, joy, happiness, laughter and prosperity.
Love and Blessings X 10,
Ed
Ed – I see what you mean; you convey what you experienced quite well. It is as if you are sensing the larger interactions between your mom and her own guides/commmittee/higher self and others.
Trust what you are getting too. Although, I will say that when people pass on and decide to hang about the others as a guardian spirit (or whatever better label you can think of), they can do this for many. Additionally, sometimes I am reading for someone and find that their "angel", say it's Grandma for instance, isn't around her/him much and is spending more attention (completely incorrect words for what energetic essences do but we are forced to use our own three dimensional words to describe what we sense) on the more troubled relatives because my client just doesn't need the attention as much. I sensed that with my Grandmother Ruth; she is more palpable to me when I am needing help. Of course, that could just be my neediness making me want to sense her more!!! Smile.
As you may have noticed, people who do more and better medium work than I posted on my Facebook page with their insights. I trust Amy and Lea quite a bit in this area so was happy to see them put in their insights.
Thanks again Ed!
