Last week, we celebrated the first day of spring by asking our community members how they renew themselves in the spirit of spring. Click here for a round-up of last week’s best articles on spring renewal.
This week, I want to ask our community members: how do you maintain your energy? How do you keep up your energy to get through the day? What is your quick fix for an energy boost when you feel tired, stressed or uninspired and all you want to do is pull your covers over your head and take a very long nap?
After all, so many important things in our life require us to have energy. On a daily basis, we need physical energy to get out of bed early, go to work, take care of our family and get things done. We need mental energy to stay productive, focused and alert. And finally, we need spiritual energy to keep us inspired to improve the world and compassionate towards those in need.
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I keep my energy up by eating chocolate (which can be spiritual—listen to my podcast interview with Yeah Dave) and drinking a lot of tea. Before you all start thinking that I’m a complete caffeine junkie, I also try to go jogging in the afternoons and sleep early to get a good night’s rest: sugar and caffiene can only do so much!
How about the rest of you? Write a blog post on how you keep up your energy and share it with the rest of the Intent community. Don’t forget to tag it “energy” and we will be rounding up the best energy-related blog posts at the end of the week.
Stay energized! I look forward to reading all your ideas.

I re-energize from spending time with my sweetie or talking to my parents, siblings or good friends. I also sleep a lot and, like Mallika, I go for runs and walks and get energy from the outdoors.
I'm a caffiene junkie. I LOVE MY COFFEE (and cute new Starbucks tumbler)!

I try to get a good laugh even if there is nothing to laugh about:)
