What’s Your Intent for Peace Day?

International Peace Day is this Sunday, September 21st, and we at Intent are reaching out to the members of our community to learn how you will spend the day. How will you contribute to peace? What are your hopes for this world? What are your intents for the day?

Here are six videos of people from our community expressing how they plan to spend the day — in every way from developing peaceful relationships to sailing. Share your intent for Peace Day in the comments! (And if your intent is to attend a Peace Day event, check here to find one near you.)

About EmmaBrownell

I moved to Los Angeles from the east coast about seven years ago. I love this city for the fact that you can be in nature, enjoying nature, almost 365 days of the year. Other interests include raising awareness (my own and others') of political and global issues, eating and living healthily, and learning and experiencing more of this big, beautiful world.

Beautiful! My intent for peace day is to recommit to finding peace within, in the hope that what starts inside will go out into the world as well. Happy Peace Day!

My intention, or my wish in a sense for peace day would be for warring factions around the world to take a moment to think about the people they are fighting, their enemies, and recognize there is humanity in everyone.

My intent for peace day is to be more tolerant about everyone and everything around me. If only there was more tolerance and acceptance in the world, we would not have wars.
