It is so sad when the public judge even the innocent- for any reason, and accusation… But where the paths of compassion grow, in the end – these paths reveal lives authentically lived. Many lights among us are passing on- We have all have lost so many beloved - Some who touch our lives like a lighthouse shining through all storms… The news today of renowned singer Michael Jackson’s passing leaves many bewildered. Creative icons are as human as each of us.
I am always touched, how in death, so much more is revealed. There is such great beauty in how friends and loved ones are able to come forward to give testimony in grief for the beloved passing.
I wonder also how easy it is for people to judge without knowing any truth, and how easy it is to cling to images that are not true, or to defend after death what some fear to defend in life. The Maya ???? (the illusions of what is seen as duality) of life spins ever tangled webs. Those who live intensely with the core of creativity often suffer this stigma. There is also a phenomena when there is so much light, one can be blinded by its intensity. I think also, the more light in a life, the more shadows of Maya/controversy pursue a life.

True, Rebekah – death clarifies vision. Oddly, we live in a world of judgement where really there should be none. One person says good while the other says bad and over these fences we struggle to unite. Michael Jackson inspired both greatness and controversy. Regardless, he followed his path and as many great people, he suffered the imbalance greatness can sometimes bring. This does not lessen him in the least. As you point out, great light brings an equally great shadow. Life is an interplay of opposites – but it is life – and that is a thing of great value.
Nice to hear from you again

Thanks for sharing your deepest thoughts, my Soulmate Rebekah.
Keep on resonating with THAT energy.

So beautiful how you described it Gregory -I imagined men on a hill "struggling over the fences", breaking the fences down and winding up hugging and laughing… It is ironic when those who are also so gentle and odd seeming to the world can inspire both sides of the struggle. And then, sensitivity for art does demand often- some distance from the on-seers world-
ah, so true, how we all need to keep resonating with THAT energy! Thank you Bing.
Love and peace, your friend Rebekah
Rebekah, thank you for this post, so soulfully presented and stirring such heartfelt responses of great insight.
Bountiful Blessings,

Dear Rebekah,
I did Michael's birth numerology and he is the highest master number 33. He accomplished a great deal in this world that we take for granted. His music and dancing and talent was that of a very old soul in a tiny body. Perhaps more than anyone who ever lived Michael brought together black and white people in a way that transcended the virulent racism that was so present at that time. You have to be at least inyour 50's to understand how much less racism there is now that when I was growing up.
Master numbers can be thought of as boddhisatva's who return to the world not for their karma but to help others who are here. The abuse Michael endured as a child stole away his childhood. He never got to be comfortable and at peace except on a stage. As soon as he got off stage he would be criticized by his father. His father's words criticizing his pug nose never left his mind and continued to be heard in Michael's mind years later. When I read about that it made all of his plastic surgery understandable.
Despite Michael's greatness as an artist he was always a wounded little boy who never got the help he deserved and needed. No wonder he never grew up or had a normal life. Imagine what remarkable things would have come into the world if Michael and Priscilla Presley could have helped each other heal. What magic they could have brought into the world together. Imagine a child of Michael and the grandchild of Elvis. Some dreams are not to be.
Michael gave to humanity much more than he ever received. May he rest in peace, his suffering over, his gifts to us eternal.
love and light,
Stuart

Dear Stuart, 33… That is true, his impact helped matters of racism… He cared so deeply. So good to read your words. Many blessings to you, Rebekah
Blessings also to you and your beautiful family Starshine!
Rebekah,
Oh how comforting your words are in these hours of grief! Maya is truly reflected in the lives of many creative geniuses of our times past, present and future. As I commented on Twitter, "May the illusion of MJ be laid to rest and the beauty of his Spirit gain life…."
How great thou art?!
Tera
"Turning myself inside out in pursuit of Divinity"
yes, Tera, how important it is to look into the true spirit of all our lives, to behold love eminating from the core- Shadows of illusion can sometimes seem to hide that light, in all of us, but in the end, the hearts light dispels the Maya…(to remove the "spell" of Maya)… to Celebrate Life for Love! Blessings, Rebekah
Stuart,
I think we need to be very careful not to perpetuate the stories that show just one side of the coin. Mr. Jackson himself called his father a genius and the truth is that without a hard work, practice and constant learning, no talent is ever enough.
What matters is what Mr. Jackson was able to achieve given all kind of limitations and struggles. Like his father he was a warrior-that is if you listen to Michael Jackson's own words.
Now when Mr. Jackson lies in his golden coffin and isn't so useful as a scapegoat anymore, will his his father bear the dark mask? Will we never learn any objectivity? Facts are not to be disputed. Mr. Jackson payed his price, we all do. However, it is necessary to always attempt to see the whole picture.
Thank you for your post.
Namaste.
Astrea
Thank you Astrea… This is so important, what you mention here. There is always so much more to the patterns and stories of anyone's life. A life story or true perspective is a multitude of variations and impacts from others, on all levels and depths of love, growing and understanding- Nor is there ever just one way of response to a given experience. Truly, the "whole picture" is for the person who experienced it to know and share, not for anyone else to put words to… Love and Blessings, Rebekah
